Moulton U18s delivered an impressive away performance as they ran out 5–1 winners against a well-coached Stamford Town side.
From the opening whistle, Moulton started on the front foot, keeping the ball well and dominating possession. Their control was rewarded with the opening goal, as Hugo Neve finished confidently after a well-timed assist from Jude Goodacre.
Moulton continued to apply pressure and doubled their lead through Jamil Yusuf, who showed great composure in front of goal. The assist came from Adam Dicks, before Yusuf struck again later in the half, this time set up by Munir Amoure, completing a strong first-half display.
At the break, Moulton held a deserved 3–0 advantage.
Just after the restart, Jamil Yusuf completed his hat-trick, capitalising on a smart assist from Toby Sainsbury to extend Moulton’s lead further. Jamil (sponsored by E C Plumbing and Heating) was the standout performer on the night, leading the line superbly and finishing clinically.
To their credit, Stamford Town rallied and were rewarded with a goal of their own, refusing to give up and showing the benefits of excellent coaching throughout the match.
Moulton were also pleased to welcome back Mo Kahn, returning after a month out through injury. The comeback was capped in style as Kahn scored Moulton’s fifth goal, again assisted by the impressive Jude Goodacre.
Full credit must go to Stamford Town, who battled to the end and never let their heads drop. The match was also well managed throughout, with the officials delivering a top-level performance on the night
