Home game against a Rushden and Diamonds young team that their management think they have the potential to win the league. Difficult to assess as they have played so few league matches this season. We now have two matches remaining but they have 9 still to play.

Today was something of a personal triumph for Wiki. She has spent most of the season travelling to Aus, NZ and the Far East countries. We are all very jealous but we have certainly missed her ebullient character and presence on the pitch and in the changing room. Great to have her back for a while and her 4 goals today were well taken and showed what we have missed.
The whole team put in a good performance I am told and Harriet in goal was rarely troubled but looked sound as did the whole defence. Jess made a rare appearance and used her footballing skills to hold the ball up before bringing others into play. Enabling strikers to be released at the right times. The rest of midfield ably marshalled by Kim as usual were always in control. Up top Shannon and Steph unusually drew a blank goal scoring wise today but contributed very well to this all round good team performance. Also good to see two of the subs on the scoresheet and Calista a bit unlucky not to start after some good performances filling in at the back over a few weeks.
One more win please Ladies and 2nd place may be secured Sunday? Depending on other results.
