Moulton welcomed Letchworth Garden City to Brunting Rd in their last but one Spartan South Midlands League Division 1 match of the season, hoping to avenge a 2-1 reverse last September. The home side were first to show after 5 minutes and a move starting at the back with keeper Filipe Mederios, and also involving Ben Jackson and Luca Iaciofano saw Derek Okoye shoot over. However on 12 minutes the Magpies went in front, Iaciofano was fouled on the right and from Andy Hall’s free kick OKOYE rose and headed in at the far post. Moulton were frustrating the visitors by moving the ball around at ease and went further in front after 32 minutes, when Iaciofano’s corner from the right was headed in by ALEX LOWERY, and they could have increased the lead two minutes later when Joey Evans and Okoye combined to set up Joel Machakare but his shot was saved by the keepers legs. With half time approaching and just a minute to go before the break the home side were guilty of giving the ball away on the edge of the box and Letchworth pulled a goal back, and astonishingly a minute later they were level when a shot from the edge of the box flew past Mederios, Moulton’s Achillies Heel had struck again.

Again Moulton started the half on top and ten minutes in re took the lead, Cole Mason , JJ Macarthy and Hall were all involved and eventually Hall was fouled, and from his free kick OKOYE again rose at the far post to head his second of the game. With the visitors offering nothing in attack it was only a matter of time before a killer fourth goal came. Another free kick from Hall, was helped back into the box by Lowery, flicked on by Evans and MACARTHY back headed over the keeper from 6 yards. With 20 minutes left Moulton gave a first team debut to Josh Wootton replacing Albert Mensah, and soon after another debutant Shaun Fotso replaced Okoye. The only real chance for either side came in injury time when Jamal Said turned and shot from an acute angle but it flashed across goal and out for a goal kick, but the Magpies were good value for the win.
