Moulton visited lowly Langford in their latest Spartan South Midlands Division 1 game with 9 first team players either on holiday, injured or suspended but welcomed Gideon Oppong and Patrick Medan into the match day squad for the first time. Moulton were first to show within the first 5 minutes when Albert Mensah intercepted a pass and put Dan Camacho through but the keeper saved and not long after Camacho put Derek Okoye in but again the keeper saved. In the 15th minute however a loose pass in the Moulton half allowed the home side to take the lead and within 7 minutes it was 2-0 again poor defensive work led to the Magpies downfall, Langford smelt blood and soon after they struck the visitors crossbar. Moulton rallied and Okoye shot just wide after a cross from Luca Iaciofano and with 38 minute on the clock they pulled a goal back when Josh Adams saw his corner half cleared to ANDY HALL 25 yards out who finished with a fine left foot shot into the top corner. For the remainder of the half Moulton were on top and Okoye had the ball in the net after good work again by Camacho but it was ruled out for offside and Hall was unlucky to see another long range shot cannon back off the crossbar
HALF TIME LANGFORD 2 MOULTON 1
Very little could be said about the second half, Moulton had plenty of possession but lacked the cutting edge or indeed the guile to break down a stubborn home defence who worked hard to earn the 3 points, the Magpies however will look back on a lack lustre display which even with a depleted squad should have had far too much for a very average Langford side.
