Moulton welcomed Eaton Socon to Brunting Rd hoping to improve on last Saturdays FA Vase exit at Crawley Green and they were soon in front when NAT ANSU headed in a Luca Iaciofano corner after just 9 minutes, and 5 mins later they should have doubled the lead when Andy Hall put Derek Okoye in but he dragged his shot wide. Filipe Mederios back in goal after missing 3 games dealt easily with a long range effort but the visitors rarely threatened and Ansu had a decent chance soon after following good work by Iaciofano and Andy Hall, followed not long after by Dan Camacho who also had a chance to increase the lead but the Eaton keeper saved. With a minute left of the half the home crowd were baying for a red card as the visiting keeper brought down Okoye who was clean through, astonishingly the referee just showed a yellow card, the Magpies took maximum retribution from the free kick however with a training ground routine courtesy of Chris “the brains” Hewitt that saw JOSH ADAMS fire into the bottom corner.
HALF TIME MOULTON 2 EATON SOCON 0 The visitors were first to press in the second half and Mederios produced a brilliant double save to keep the 2 goal lead intact first tipping away a header before smothering the follow up shot. With 57 minutes on the clock Moulton grabbed a third goal, Adams turned his defender inside out on the left before crossing into the box where CAMACHO toe ended it home, and within 3 minutes it was four, Iaciofano passed inside to Camacho and he produced a delightful clip into the box and OKOYE finished with a left foot shot. The returning Dylan Weston and Albert Mensah replaced Okoye and Hall and within 2 minutes Mensah produced a lovely diagonal ball to Iaciofano and his cross was chested over the line by ANSU for his second of the game. With 25 mins left Josh Clipston replaced Adams and five minutes later the Magpies should have been given a penalty when Ansu was flattened in the box but the referee waved away the claims . Hughie Johns replaced Cole Mason and with seven minutes left the home side made it six, Ansu fed Clipston on the right and he found CAMACHO in the box and with no support arriving he twisted and turned before finding the net at the near post
