Moulton made the long trip to Letchworth in their quest for 3 points to keep the play-off hopes alive and were the first to show in a chilly Hertfordshire when Josh Melling and Lewis Isom linked up but from the resultant cross Luca Iaciofano just failed to connect, the home side replied but Filipe Mederios saved easily. Letchworth were frustrating the Magpies parking the bus with 11 men behind the ball and were no threat to their visitors going forward, and Moulton did carve out a two or three decent chances before the break firstly when Justin Mensah and Dan White set up Isom but he shot over and then Nat Ansu forced the keeper to tip over from a long range free kick, and Iaciofano also had a chance but again the keeper saved. With 5 mins left of the half Moulton should have been awarded a penalty when Ansu went over an outstretched leg but the referee waved away protests.

Alex Parkes replaced Andy Hall at half time as the Magpies continued to dominate and Iaciofano was unlucky to see a scissor kick go just over after White had headed on a long throw from Cole Mason. With 70 mins on the clock the visitors were desperately unlucky not to take the lead when Melling crashed a header against the bar from an Iaciofano corner, and White saw his follow up blocked as Moulton continued to force the issue. Dominance finally paid 4 minutes later, Mason stood up a cross to the far post and as White challenged for the ball it dropped invitingly to the unmarked AARON DICKINS behind him and he fired into the roof of the net from close range. Youngster Rory Preston replaced Isom not long after and showed some nice touches on his senior bow and the Magpies looked to see the game out, but right at the death the hosts had a shot go just wide but an equaliser would have been daylight robbery .
