An inspired substitution 16 minutes before the end saw Moulton pick up all three points against Hinckley and complete the league double over the Leicestershire club.

Moulton were quickest out of the blocks and were unlucky not to take the lead after only 3 minutes. Terry Falcini was fouled just outside the box and from the free kick Andy Hall hit the crossbar with a defender heading the loose ball away. The visitors had a gilt-edged chance soon after when they got in behind the Moulton defence and Alex Lock lobbed the ball over Adam North in the home goal but also the crossbar as well. The Magpies went down the other end and too had a great chance when Hall crossed from the right Damian Osoimoejiokhian saw his downward header cleared off the line. Falcini was causing the visitors some real problems and was unlucky to see a curling shot bounce back off the crossbar after being set up by Lewis Isom. After the early chances the game went into a lull with neither side threatening, that was until the last minute of the half when Matty Long escaped his marker and drew a smart save from Divin Emmanuel in the Hinckley goal.

The Magpies started the second half much the same as the first and Adam Dicks was put through by Luke Stevens but his shot trickled agonisingly against the inside of the post with Emmanuel getting back to smother the rebound and the keeper was in action soon after tipping over a fierce shot from Osoimoejiokhian. Neither keeper was really tested after that and the telling point arrived with 16 minutes remaining, with the Magpies being awarded a free kick out on the left-hand side. In the break of play NATHAN BURROWS replaced Matty Long and when Isom swung over the kick the big striker rose above the Hinckley defence to plant a header inside the post with his first touch.

Not much happened after that other than to say there were more yellow cards than chances and Moulton saw out the game comfortably.
