For the first ten minutes Kingsthrope were the better team, after 13 minutes Moulton managed to produce their first attacking play (when Seb went on a lung-busting run). A minute later the Moulton defence switched off and Kingsthorpe took full advantage to take the lead 0 – 1. For the next fifteen minutes both teams produced attacks on the opponent’s goal with free-kick and corner attempts. On 31 minutes, Davis produced a great save to keep the score-line the same. Just before half-time, Kingsthorpe hit the bar from a corner (0 – 1 to Kingsthrope Jets at half-time).

In the second-half Moulton begin to put some pressure on the Kingsthorpe goal, 39 minutes on the clock and Louis sees his effort saved from a corner. A couple of minutes later Moulton nearly equalise, the Kingsthorpe goalkeeper produces a cracking double save to deny Aidan and Louis. Two minutes later and its Davis who produces a fine save to keep the score-line the same. In the last 18 minutes of the game, Kingsthrope are awarded two penalties (one effort just clears the bar and Davis saves the second). Between the penalties, Jacob sees his effort saved as Moulton went in search for the equaliser.
