At the beginning of the match both teams had to adapt to the wet greasy conditions. West Haddon settle first, and take the lead when a long ball over the top catches the Moulton defence flat; and the West Haddon attacker slots home (1-0 West Haddon). Moulton begin too warm to the task, and after good attacking play by Finley down the right-hand side, Jacob finishes smartly to make the score level (1-1). Three minutes later and Davis is smartly off his line to clear the danger after another long ball over the top. 17 minutes on the clock, again another long ball over the top takes out the Moulton defence and again the West Haddon attacker slots the ball into the net (2-1 West Haddon). Four minutes later and Davis is called into action again to deny West Haddon from increasing their lead. With around seven minutes of the first half remaining Moulton begin to get a foot hold in the game, both Josh and Cleo combine to fashion an attempt on goal. Just before half-time Josh shots towards goal and the goal-keeper produces a good save. 2 – 1 to West Haddon at half-time.

At the start of the second half both teams go on the attack, but Moulton now begin to insert more pressure on the opponent’s goal. On 39 minutes Jacob produces a cracking cross from the left-hand side for Aidan to head narrowly wide. In the next six minutes Moulton score twice; Jacob and Cleo with good interplay set up Finley to coolly slot home. Then Jacob again produces some great wing play down the left hand side (goes past three defenders) to send in a perfect cross for Louis to head home (2-3 Moulton). Eight minutes later and Moulton win a throw-in, this time Aidan smartly dispatches the ball into the West Haddon net (2 - 4 Moulton). 60 minutes in and West Haddon attack, Davis produces another good save to keep the score-line the same. In the last seven minutes of the game Moulton press home their advantage; Jake smartly goes down the left-hand side to set up Matthew to smartly slot home (2 – 5 Moulton). But Moulton continue to look for more goals, Seb goes on a marauding run, which results in his effort hitting the post. With nearly the last kick of the game, Darren calmly fires the ball into the back off the net.
